How do I sign up for Online Banking?
Signing up is as simple as clicking on "Apply Now" on the State Bank of Belle Plaine's homepage at www.statebankbp.com and printing the form or you can stop in to pick up a form. You will receive a user ID and PIN # within 3-5 business days. See below for instruction.
What is my user ID?
Your user ID is a unique number given to you when you signed up for Online Banking and is used to log into Online Banking. This number can by changed by using the “Options” tab in the menu bar and choosing “User Options” and alternate user ID. Your user ID should never be shared with anyone or written down where others can access it. If you enter your user ID wrong three (3) times, your Online Banking access will be disabled. To unlock your account or to have your password reset, contact us at 952-873-2296.
What is a PIN (Personal Identification Number)?
A Personal Identification Number (PIN) is your password for logging into Online Banking. Your PIN should never be shared with anyone or written down where others can access it. If you enter your PIN wrong three (3) times, your Online Banking access will be disabled. To unlock your account or to have your password reset, contact us at 952-873-2296.
What if I forget my user ID or PIN number?

What if the question that appears is not one that I set up?
The system has not authenticated you due to a previous incorrect answer or incorrect user ID. Your Online Banking access has been disabled. To unlock your account, contact us at 952-873-2296.
How many transactions/inquiries can I do? Per visit? Per day? Per month?
Your ability to transfer funds between certain accounts is limited by federal law and the Deposit Agreement. Account restrictions, which are explained in the disclosures which you received when you opened your account, apply to online banking. Inquiries are unlimited.
What types of transactions can I do?
You can obtain your balances, history, previous year tax info, and other details, on all of your accounts; Make transfers between accounts held at State Bank of Belle Plaine; View and print copies of cancelled checks and deposit tickets; Make loan payments; Review account activity; and download account info to money management software.
How do I view my cancelled checks and deposit images?
You can view your cancelled checks and deposit images by using the “Accounts” tab in the menu bar and choosing “History”. The items underlined have an image available.
How current is the information?
The available balances are real-time and will change throughout the day based on your account activity. All transfers, withdrawals and/or payments made through Online Banking are processed immediately, and can be verified by returning to the Account Balances screen. All Internet Banking transaction instructions received by 3:00 p.m. CST will be completed that business day. Any instruction received after 3:00 p.m. CST will be completed the next business day.
How far back does the history go?
The default view is the last 30 days of account activity. Using the “History” option under the “Accounts” tab in the menu bar, you can select any time period to view account activity for the last 12 months.
Can I transfer funds from my account to my spouse’s/child’s account?
Yes. You should be able to transfer funds between all accounts on which your social security is associated. Please contact us concerning accounts that your social security number is not associated at 952-873-2296.
Is there a way to authorize someone else to use my account? How?
No. The only way that someone else can access your account is if you give them your user ID and PIN number. However, this would allow that person to access your account whenever they wanted to and let them do whatever they wanted to. We suggest that you do not share your user ID or PIN number with anyone.
Can I use Online Banking outside the United States?
Yes. Since Online Banking is an Internet-based program, it is available worldwide.
Does Online Banking have a bill pay option?
No. Online Banking does not have a bill pay option at this time.
Do I need to install any special software? What are the required computer
equipment, software and browser?
All you need is a computer and Internet access. To access Online Banking, you’ll need a web browser (either Netscape Navigator 4.0 or higher, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher), a user ID, and a PIN number.
How secure is Online Banking?
State Bank of Belle Plaine strives to use the latest technology to protect your account information from exposure to unauthorized persons. This multi-factor authentication security system requires: a user ID; a system generated security code (State Bank is shadowed in the background with the security code); an authentication question; and a PIN number (State Bank is shadowed in the background with the secure key image).
Can I download my account information to money management software?
Yes. Online Banking has an Export option for downloads in QIF (for Quicken) and Excel formats. Select the "Accounts" tab in the menu bar. Then select "Download".
Should I log off?
Yes, when you are finished using Online Banking, you should use the “Logout” tab in the menu bar. This ensures that your account access has been terminated. If this is not done, you will automatically be logged off after several minutes of inactivity.

eStatement FAQ's
What is an eStatement?
An eStatement is an electronic version of your statement with images available online via our secure Online Banking. You can view, save and print your statement right from your computer, avoiding the wait for traditional mail and ending paper clutter.
Are check images available with my eStatement?
Yes. Check images will look the same as when you received them on paper.
When can I view my eStatement?
Your eStatement will be available to view within 1 business day after your statement cycle ends. We will send you an email notifying you that your eStatement is ready for viewing. All your previous eStatements (up to 12 months) are available to you online as well.
Can I view my electronic statement without signing up for eStatements?
Unfortunately no. You will need to sign up for eStatements.
How do I save my eStatement for future reference?
You can save them right to your computer if you wish. We provide an archive of up to 12-months of your eStatements.
Can I access an eStatement for all of my accounts?
Both checking and savings accounts are available online.
Is there a charge for eStatements?
There is no charge for eStatements.
Do I have to sign up for Online Banking in order to have access to eStatements?
Yes. You may access your eStatement from your Online Banking account.
Will I need a password to view my eStatement?
No. It is available through your Online Banking account.
How do I sign up for eStatements?
You can sign up through Online Banking by sending a secure message and signing the Electronic Delivery of Bank Statements Consent and Agreement form.
Is my eStatement information secure?
State Bank of Belle Plaine strives to use the latest technology to protect your account information from exposure to unauthorized persons. As is the case with everything traveling through the Internet, security is always an issue. Even statements being mailed via the postal system has its own set of security issues. All data transfers, including electronic mail, occur openly on the Internet and potentially can be monitored and read by others.
Will I be able to print my eStatement and check images?
Yes. Once you open the eStatement you will be able to print the eStatement and images just like you print any document on your computer.
What are my hardware and software requirements?
All you need is a computer and Internet access. To access Online Banking, you’ll need a web brower (either Netscape Navigator 4.0 or higher, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher), a user ID, and PIN number. To access your eStatements, you’ll need Adobe® Acrobat® ReaderTM 5.0 or greater installed.
What is Adobe Reader and why do I need it?
Adobe® Acrobat® ReaderTM is free software used for viewing and printing of electronic forms. You will need this software installed (Version 5.0 or greater) on your computer in order for your computer to download, display or print your statement and images.
How can I get Adobe Reader?
The e-mail notifying you that your eStatement is ready for viewing will have a link to enable you to download the free software.
What if I change my email address?
In order to continue receiving the email notice that your latest eStatement is available, you need to notify us in writing of your email address change. This can be done by mail or fax (the address and fax number are listed on our web site) or email through the "Contact Us" email service on our Web site.
How long will it take to set up my eStatement?
Once you have signed up for eStatements, access will be available at your next statement cycle. You will receive an email notifying you when your eStatement is available.
Who should I contact if I can't access my eStatement?
You should contact Data Processing at 952-873-2296 between 8:00 AM and 4:15 PM CST Monday – Friday, banking business days.
How do I cancel my eStatement?
You may cancel your eStatement service at any time by providing us with written notice. This can be done by mail or fax (the address and fax number are listed on our web site) or email through the "Contact Us" email service on our Web site. We will remove your online access and will send your monthly statement via postal mail. There are no fees for discontinuing this service.
